Our Telemedicine-in-the-Home program allows us to stay connected with our current ALS patients who can no longer travel. We use a secure teleconferencing program that links our offices directly to their homes. There are lots of symptoms we can help them manage and important pieces of equipment we can help them order or get repaired. We can also help them stay informed about all the hopeful things that are happening in ALS research at Duke and around the world. It is amazing to see how all these small things can add up to make a difference.
